for the love of where you belong

do you know where you belong? from what province are you? if you know, do you like it? love it? proud of it?.. the short story by Manuel E. Arguilla is a very simple but rich story... me i was born in leon guinto manila... but i grew up here in sta.rosa laguna... my dad is from manila and my mom is from davao... my moms friends used to call me "bisalog" meaning bisaya+tagalog... yeah its sounds funny but its true... and m proud of it... Because the place where i grew up,? those r the best days of my life... with my jologs friends, ^_^ we used to go to the "BUKID" we used to steal some garlic from the farm, water melons from someones backyard... we climb coconut trees to get "PUGAD" with the baby birds on it and some egg, some coconut to sell it to the smallest store in town... "mamang's store"... i cant' forget those childhood memories... thats y m proud of my town... why do i say this things? because the story my brother leon brought home a wife is a story which focuses more on nationality.... the author's great love of his province was shown in the story... i think what mr. Manuel wants to say is that the first ever step you made on the ground is your stepping stone to where you are standing right now... well great story... i hope you like my story to ^_^v hehehehe
